Christmas Corrugated Glitter Stars

Jolly Holiday Christmas Card
Curtsey Boutique

For years I avoided glitter because of the mess. I couldn't stand having flecks of it everywhere from my hair to my dishes for weeks after working with it.  I've recently come across a glitter corrugated heavyweight cardboard that hardly flakes! Glitter cardboard + die cutter = vintage holiday love!

I made this card with the brand new Carta Bella Christmas line "Christmas Day." So beautiful and just recently it became available via Jessica Sprague in digital format - I love it. I printed all the pieces on my computer and than distressed, layered and inked till I was happy with the result. I of course had to add one of my new glitter stars. They are now available in the shop - as are a ton of other fun glitter shapes.

Have a sparkly night,

CarrieAnne

Thanksgiving Project Life Journaling Cards and Digital Freebie

Design Team Call Information can be found HERE

To Grandmother's House
Journaling Card Freebie
Curtsey Boutique
The weather is very ugh here today.

Very rainy, chilly, gloomy and doomy. Eeyore would be right at home, but its not so good for taking photos of my weekend projects I was hoping to share.

With a cup of hot chocolate and my fuzziest socks, it is perfect weather for me to work on my digital Project Life pages.

We are heading out of town, over the hills and through the woods to grandmother's house on Friday.  For once (mark your calendars this is a first) I've done some Project Life cards BEFORE the event occurred that I know I am going to want to scrap.

These cards pull heavily from the Graphics Fairy. This website is AMAZING if you haven't already visited - you must. The images are all free and Karen does a wonderful job of finding unique and retro artwork. I'm completely smitten by all of her 50's pieces of happy homemakers.

I also used a number of copyrighted images from Jessica Sprague's many different brands including Carina Gardner, Echo Park and Pink Paislee. This means I can only offer the card above for your use, but perhaps those below will inspire you to create something fun of your own!

As always, you may use my digital freebies for CU, S4H or PU so long as you link back to the blog :)

Knowing that all I have to do is drag and drop my photos will make scrapping this holiday easy peasy.

I hope its Sunny where you are,

CarrieAnne

Quick and Easy Christmas Gift Packaging

Design Team Call Information can be found here

Large Pinstripe Kraft Boxes
Curtsey Boutique
I'm completely in love with reindeers for this holiday season. I love this tag with the stamped reindeer and half pearls on the antlers - so cute. I've also die cut a bunch out of corrugated glitter cardboard and will share a few projects with those next week.  These are our largest size Pinstripe Kraft Boxes and measure 5 x 5 x 3.5 inches. Paired with doilies, seam binding and a stamped tag - Christmas gift wrapping couldn't be easier!

Gusseted Bags and Paper Twist Ties
Curtsey Boutique

These gusseted bags are neat because when filled the bottom flattens out and stands up on its own. The red and white paper twist ties are such a cute touch with the peppermints.  I've seen some fun Pinterest ideas for these paper twist ties and am excited to try a few out. This color scheme would also work great for Valentine's Day.

Have a lovely weekend,

CarrieAnne

Free Vintage Chore Chart Digital Images - Download

For those searching for DESIGN TEAM CALL INFO: click Here

It has been forever since I shared a free vintage image so here is a whole set of them!

Recently, I picked up a fun turn of the century book titled "The Fun of Being Good." It was a 19th century mom's take on "incentivizing" children to behave. For each day her kids did all the things they were supposed to they earned a fun stamp to place in the charts of this booklet. Once the booklet was filled, they earned a small prize. It would seem times really haven't changed all that much over the years! I do the same thing with my kids, without the stamps - they earn points toward a larger reward like a book or privilege.

These pictures are from the "morning routine" page of the book. The book was in pretty horrific shape and I tried to clean the images up as much as possible. I thought they would be fun for a chore chart or morning routine reminder.

Please enjoy using them for personal or commercial use, but be sure to link back to the blog when you do so!

Bakery Bags and Monogram Tags

Curtsey Boutique Monogram Tags
My new Christmas packaging and tags are just about all listed in the shop now.  I thought I would share a few of  my favorites. I'm loving the monogram tags with the scalloped edge and paper bows. My girls always think a present is more special when it has their initial or name on it.   I like the combination of these tags with the fancy bloom flowers, a bit of torn fabric for ribbon and the pinstripe kraft boxes.

I've seen these bags called a bunch of different things; coffee bags, bakery bags, window bags - I'm not sure their proper name, but I do know they are super cute and the polka dot embossing adds a nice touch. I like that you can see your sweet candy treat or cookies through the window and that the tin tie tab folds down at the top for a secure and seamless look.

Whoever you support, I hope you took the time to brave the weather and exercise your freedom today by voting!

Happy Election Day,

CarrieAnne

Layouts. Paper Bows. Freckled Fawn

Layout by Naomi Atkins via Freckled Fawn
Curtsey Boutique Paper Bows

I hope Halloween had more tricks than treats for you :)

Halloween was so much for us as a family last night!  Our kids are at the absolutely perfect age for Trick or Treating.

It was little man's first trick or treating experience and his face lit up at each door as if to say - "candy for me? this is awesome!"

He was superman and he fist pumped at every house when he came away with his loot. Do little boys get cuter than capes and huge smiles?

Freckled Fawn had a few more great layouts I thought I'd share with you using my bows and their Autumn OHDeerMe Kit.

Naomi Atkins created the stunning layout at the top of this post using the cutest pinwheel and one of my yellow paper bows.

You can see more of her artwork here.

Layout by Brandy Layton via Freckled Fawn
Paper Bow by the Curtsey Boutique

Brandy Layton used one of the bows on her boy themed layout - LOVE IT!

To seem more of Brandy's artwork visit her blog here.

Have a lovely day,

CarrieAnne
