This Decorative Gift Jar is the perfect way to present any little gift of appreciation. You could fill your gift jar with freshly baked cookies, candy, a pretty piece of jewelry and so much more. There are always times where you need a sweet and simple gift for someone. A hostess gift, a friendly neighbor, or for someone you think could use a little pick-me-up.

The first thing you will need to do to create this project is gather your materials (listed above).

Step 1: Using the ⅛” hole punch, punch a hole in your chalkboard heat and run the red and white baker’s twine through.

Step 2: I used my hot glue gun to add my large decorative button to the Red & White Polka Dot Ruffle Flower.

Step 3: Again I used my hot glue gun to attach the white pom pom ribbon to the wooden lid of the jar.

Step 4: I adhered the coordinating patterned paper to the jar using regular double sided tape.

Step 5: The final touch is to adhere the ruffle flower and the chalkboard tag to the lid, again using hot glue. Taaaa Daaaa! You have a beautiful package for that sweet little something for someone special.

Shabby Chic Card with Jess Mutty + New Release - Glitter Clothes Pins, Painted Buttons & Mini Ruffle Flowers

Shabby Chic Romantic Card
Curtsey Boutique Designer
Jess Mutty

I'm not usually one for pastels but there is something about all the romantic Curtsey Boutique embellishments that makes me want to play with soft colors and everything pretty.

I used a ton of stuff on here.  The fabric in the middle is actually cut from a muslin bag.  I folded and sewed a paper doily on top and layered some flowers and a wood button.

And how cute are these new little clothespins!? I used one here to clip the book page heart and glitter banner to the upper corner.  So sweet!

Embellished Berry Basket with Jess Mutty

Embellished Berry Basket
Curtsey Boutique Designer
Jess Mutty

Today I have this sweet little basket that would be perfect for gift giving.  I love these fruit baskets and the ruffled fabric trim so I combined them with a pretty pastel shabby flower for a romantic, country feel.  The wood button and felt doily add another touch of texture.

I used a piece of chipboard sandwiched between two dyed doilies for a small decorative backing.  It looks pretty but it is also functional.  Sometimes I find that I need a little support for my basket goodies.

And of course you need a nice little bed of something to nestle the contents into.  I lined the basket with a white doily and then cut super thin strands of a glassine bag and scrunched them into the bottom of the basket.  Perfect for a candle, bath items, baked treats, or other small gift!
