Doilies on Layouts with Lisa Spiegel

Doilies on Layouts
Curtsey Boutique Designer
Lisa Spiegel
Lisa loved using Curtsey Boutique products on her layouts.  They add so much depth to simple paper products. For this layout, she used the White 4" Doilies, the Yellow Dyed Doilies, a Polka Dot Embossed Glassine Bag, a yellow library card, yellow twine, cream seam binding, a cream felt flower (that she misted green), a heart stick pin, a Shabby Chic vintage mini clothes pin and a Shabby Chic wood button.  All of these products make for one pretty layout!!

A Gift Bag with Rebekah Faries

Hi everyone!  Welcome to the new week.  We are in the process of reviewing the amazing DT Call submissions we received, and we will be announcing the new team soon.  Stay tuned!

Today we have an adorable gift bag from DT Member Rebekah to share with you.

Rebekah used our medium glassine bag, red baker's twine, and a rolled felt rose to create this sweet little gift bag, perfect for anyone you love.

This project also contains a sneak peek of an item we are hoping to add to the shop soon: a fabric ampersand!

Check out all the goodies that you need for gift wrapping, wedding favors, and more in our Etsy shop by clicking HERE.

Birthday Gift Box with Shellye McDaniel

Birthday Gift Box
Curtsey Boutique Designer
Shellye McDaniel

We are keeping with our gift box theme for another day today. Shellye used a recycled box she had at home, but wouldn't her project look lovely with one of our Pinstripe Kraft Boxes?

Shellye used two of the glitter birthday cakes and attached them together so that they would stand on top of the box.

The darling doily border was created by using five of the hot pink paper doilies. They were adhered together with a small glue dot to form a band.

I personally love the little happy birthday banner at the top - the perfect finishing touch.

Dixie Highway Yard Sale & Eating Out Tag Digital Freebie

I supposed that being a historian, it shouldn't be surprising that I love old things. Whether its scraps of lace, old dress forms, embroidered sheets or sheet music - I love old stuff. What's better than loving old stuff? Buying old stuff and altering it!

This weekend my best friend and I are going to be cruising the Dixie Highway Yard sale - 90 miles of yard sale and vintage fun on old highway 41. We are lucky that it starts right here in Marietta!

If you're looking for more information on the Dixie Highway Yard sale here is a link to their facebook page:
http://www.facebook.com/DixieHighway90MileYardSale

In anticipation of finding lots of vintage loveliness I whipped up a vintage inspired glassine treat bag and a new digital freebie.

Curtsey Boutique Medium Glassine Polka Bags

These medium glassine bags are polka dot embossed at measure 3.75 x 6.25. They can be found here in the Curtsey  Boutique: https://www.etsy.com/listing/100827237/glassine-bags-embossed-polka-dot-set-of

The red felt roses are also available in the shop here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/87903893/set-of-5-mini-cheery-cherry-rolled-felt

I'll be sure to share my vintage finds later in the week.

In anticipation of eating some local southern cuisine on our trip here is a digital freebie for you to enjoy!
