My Girl Layout with Jenifer Cowels

Today we have a gorgeous layout from Jenifer Cowels to share with you.  Jenifer shared with us some thoughts about this layout:

"I love the way this layout came together.  It was a fast one only took about 30 minutes which is super fast for me, I have been known to spend an entire weekend on a layout to get it just right.  After the mist dried I went to work and my little focal cluster came together beautifully."

We couldn't agree more.  This layout is perfection!

Here are the shop products Jenifer used:

Bottoms Up Layout with Alyssa McGrew

Bottom's Up Layout
Curtsey Boutique Designer
Alyssa McGrew

Today's 12x12 layout comes from Alyssa McGrew. I love how she uses our pennant labels to build layers into her layout - they are so much more affordable than the stickers out on the market and you can print or stamp anything you like on them.

It seems that Alyssa's daughter has found even milk to be a special treat when enjoyed from a pretty glass.

Love Always Mommy Layout by Lisa Spiegel

Love Always Mommy Layout
Curtsey Boutique Designer
Lisa Spiegel

Have you ever pulled out a coat or purse after having not used it in awhile and discovered a $10 bill? It is such a lovely unexpected surprise. The same thing happened to me today when I was doing a bit of inbox cleaning I found one more project from Lisa that I hadn't shared yet with you - a lovely surprise!

Lisa filled her layout with doilies, a library card, vellum bag and our shipping tags.

In her own words "I use all of these products on almost every layout I create!  I just love the subtle layering they allow and the ability to hide my journaling in the vellum bag is one of my best tricks to sharing meaningful journaling that you might not want everyone looking through your album to see."

Gift Card Holder Tutorial with Lisa Spiegel

Today I'm bringing you a Shabby Chic Package Tag or Gift Card Holder you can create using some simple Curtsey Boutique supplies.

You will need:

To create my tag, I first trimmed 1/2 inch off the bottom of the tag, then I wrapped the doily around the shipping tag to create a pocket and glued the flaps down with my tape runner.  I tied seam binding into two bows to embellish the tag. To create the doily flower on the front, I simply pinched the doily together.

Then punched two leaves from the Glassine Bag and attached them to the flower with a mini stapler. I then wrapped the bottom in washi to secure the layers and hide the staple.

This flower was attached to the front of the pocket and I added a couple of paper flowers from my stash as well.

The final touch was a two layer Glassine butterfly that I punched from the bag and stapled together.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Hi everyone!  Welcome to the new week.  We are in the process of reviewing the amazing DT Call submissions we received, and we will be announcing the new team soon.  Stay tuned!

Today we have an adorable gift bag from DT Member Rebekah to share with you.

Rebekah used our medium glassine bag, red baker's twine, and a rolled felt rose to create this sweet little gift bag, perfect for anyone you love.

Christmas Hybrid Card with Jenifer Cowles

Today we are taking a peek at a lovely holiday card created by Jenifer Cowles.  Jenifer says, "I created a hybrid Christmas card that I plan to send to Grandparents with the kids school pictures and little notes from each of the kids tucked into each bag."

Jenifer used our paper straws from the shop to bind a series of glassine envelopes together with baker's twine.  What a genius idea (and so festive!).

Jenifer decorated the front of her card with a snowflake rosette and doilies from the shop.  After decorating the envelopes with more goodies from the shop, she asked her kids to write special notes to their grandparents and tucked them inside the envelopes.  What a brilliant holiday keepsake for grandparents!

Thanks for taking a peek today!  To see more of Jenifer's work, please visit her blog by clicking on her picture below.

Wood Berry Basket Smore Kit By Jess Mutty

I know the blog has been quiet for a bit and the shop was on vacation, but our doors are once more open and the blog up and going.

What better way to celebrate the dog days of summer than with Jess' sweet embellished berry basket?

****************************

I go to a lot of BBQs in the summer and sometimes I get tired of the same old hostess gifts.  Sure, we all love a bottle of wine but why not stand out with something a little more unique?

My S'mores Kit is adorable, inexpensive, and quick to assemble. And I bet the recipient will squeal with delight when she sees it!  All you need are some Curtsey Boutique supplies and your s'mores ingredients, of course.

The grahams are in a flat glassine envelope and tied with twine and a chalkboard label tag.  Then a classic Hershey's chocolate bar. The marshmallows go in the front, in a gusseted glassine bag, folded over and stapled, and topped with a glitter star, accordion circle, and a wood button.  Everything nestles nicely into a sweet wood berry basket with a seam binding bow.
