Tweet Friend Card with Andrea Amu

I am not sure when it happened, but Fall has arrived here in Georgia. It seems like just yesterday the kids were running around outside in bathing suits Now the air is cool and crisp, leaves are falling and I'm pulling out the sweater boxes.  My favorite part of fall is the colors and I love Andrea's card for its mixture of warm oranges, yellows and brown.  She uses one of our fabric bows to top her sweet die cut birdcage.

Man and Wife Card by Rebekah Faries

Man and Wife Card

Rebekah Faries
It is snowing in Georgia this morning! I can't believe it. For us flurries are a very rare thing - we didn't see a flake last year and I'll be honest I'm no fan of the cold or shoveling.

This lovely card by Rebekah, however just warms my heart and makes up for the dismal weather. Showcasing our corrugated silhouettes and doilies, a sweet shower of confetti hearts are the perfect finishing touch.

Christmas Hybrid Card with Jenifer Cowles

Today we are taking a peek at a lovely holiday card created by Jenifer Cowles.  Jenifer says, "I created a hybrid Christmas card that I plan to send to Grandparents with the kids school pictures and little notes from each of the kids tucked into each bag."

Jenifer used our paper straws from the shop to bind a series of glassine envelopes together with baker's twine.  What a genius idea (and so festive!).

Jenifer decorated the front of her card with a snowflake rosette and doilies from the shop.  After decorating the envelopes with more goodies from the shop, she asked her kids to write special notes to their grandparents and tucked them inside the envelopes.  What a brilliant holiday keepsake for grandparents!

Library Pocket Butterfly Card with Kim Stewart

Butterfly Library Pocket Card
Curtsey Boutique Designer
Kim Stewart

Kim made a little card using the library cards and pockets.  She  made a collage butterfly to staple onto the manila pocket.  It's such an easy project that you can make using found office supplies and tags you have just laying around.  Then add a sentiment of stickers or hand written journaling.

Thank You to My Favorite Teacher Card by Rebekah Faries

Thank you to My Favorite Teacher Card
Curtsey Boutique Designer
Rebekah Faries
It is the season of gratitude. And what better why to share a bit of appreciation than this lovely card Rebekah has made for some of the most important adults in our children's lives - their teachers. I absolutely love the red and white combination and the elegance added by our 5 inch doilies with a pinch of fun in our red and white baker's twine.

Mr. and Mrs. Wedding Card by Andrea Amu

Mr. and Mrs. Wedding Card
Curtsey Boutique Designer
Andrea Amu
I wanted to create this wedding card to have a vintage and homespun look all in one, emulating the style of my friend's wedding décor and theme.

I chose the vintage floral for the embossing and paired it perfectly with vintage touches of a pink floral fabric strip and a swatch of burlap from Curtsey Boutique.  The burlap was actually a section cut from one of the burlap bags.  I also cut strips of the burlap from the bag to use on a separate project!

Other supplies:
Anna Griffin floral Cuttlebug emboss folder and machine
Cricut Sweethearts cartridge and machine
Core'dinations cardstock
Clearsnap  chalk ink (pink)
Ranger Perfect Pearls Mist (Heirloom gold)
FloraCraft Diamond Dust glass glitter

Kraft and Woodgrain Card with Jess Mutty

Today we have another amazing card to share, this one from DT Member Jess Mutty.

Jess says: Sometimes I really just love the simplicity of a neutral color scheme. You can really make the most of textures with basic kraft and white.  Today's card has lots of rich layers of paper doilies, felt, seam binding, rosettes, and more.

The background is from an embossed kraft bag with parts of white paper doilies on top.  The flower is actually formed from eight book page hearts folded in half.  I also used some fab white banner stickers and cut a notch in some doubled up kraft tape for coordinating banners.
