Thank You to My Favorite Teacher Card by Rebekah Faries

Thank you to My Favorite Teacher Card
Curtsey Boutique Designer
Rebekah Faries
It is the season of gratitude. And what better why to share a bit of appreciation than this lovely card Rebekah has made for some of the most important adults in our children's lives - their teachers. I absolutely love the red and white combination and the elegance added by our 5 inch doilies with a pinch of fun in our red and white baker's twine.

2 in 1 Thank you Gift & Card Tutorial by Shellye McDaniel

2 in 1 Thank You Gift and Card

We have a wonderful gift idea and tutorial from Shellye this week so pull up a chair and learn along with us.

With the "Wedding" theme from last week still on my mind, I designed a card to act as a Thank You, as well as a little gift!  Perfect for thanking a hostess, bride's maids or anyone who has done something special for you.  Adding a beautiful fabric flower takes a lot of the guess work out of this sweet card and also makes it very quick and easy to put together.

First, you will need one of the beautiful Fabric Flowers from Curtsey Boutique, a flat-back brooch pin and small piece of felt.

Sew (or glue) the pin to the piece of felt and then attach the felt directly to the back of the Fabric Flower using a high-tack fabric glue.

Next, create a background paper to attach your pin to.  For my card, I used a banner die, which measured approximately 3"W x 4"H.  Punch two small holes into the background paper and pin your Fabric Flower through.

Add foam dots to the back of the paper before adding it to the card or to another background paper.  The extra space created by using the foam dots, allows the working parts of the pin to lay flat under the paper.

In finishing, stamp a "thank you" sentiment or whatever you'd like to add to the front of the card.  I also used a bit of Ecru Paper Doily to add some interest and beauty to the top of the banner paper.
