The Wild Layout by Cowles

The Wild Layout
Curtsey Boutique Designer
Jenifer Cowles
I really like the beautiful array of neutral colors and embellishment Jenifer in this recent trip to Yosemite National Park. The shop is full of kraft colored items and Jenifer did a great job mixing and matching them.

Welcome to Connie Mercer and her Beautifully Embellished Fall Pumpkin

This week will be an exciting one as we begin sharing artwork from all of our new design team members!

We are getting the ball rolling with Connie's lovely embellished pumpkin. The combination of Curtsey Boutique fabric and felt flowers and our seam binding makes for a lovely piece of home decor perfect for celebrating the fall harvest or embracing a sweetly less scary Halloween theme.

Burlap Wall Hanging
Curtsey Boutique Designer
Andrea Amu

For this project, I created a woven burlap and twine wrapped monogram wall décor piece with a decorative frame.

After I completed my project, the felt flowers and doily from Curtsey Boutique were the perfect finishing accents for my initial!

A Little Nervous Layout
Curtsey Boutique Designer
Alyssa McGrew
In the main photo for this spread, my son is awaiting his first flight.  He was outwardly full of bluster and confidence, but in this rare moment, a little peek of the inner nervousness peeked through.  I'm glad to have caught it on camera, as it reminded me to be continually patient with him throughout our recent move and the many adjustments that followed.

Polka Dot Burlap Bag with Jenifer Cowles

Polka Dot Burlap Bag
Curtsey Boutique Designer
Jenifer Cowles

Jenifer shares a clever way to embellish our burlap bags with us today. She stenciled them with polka dots!  So clever.

To ensure her closure matched her flower and trim she removed the standard twine and replace it with our white seam binding.

Mr. and Mrs. Wedding Card by Andrea Amu

Mr. and Mrs. Wedding Card
Curtsey Boutique Designer
Andrea Amu
I wanted to create this wedding card to have a vintage and homespun look all in one, emulating the style of my friend's wedding décor and theme.

I chose the vintage floral for the embossing and paired it perfectly with vintage touches of a pink floral fabric strip and a swatch of burlap from Curtsey Boutique.  The burlap was actually a section cut from one of the burlap bags.  I also cut strips of the burlap from the bag to use on a separate project!

Other supplies:
Anna Griffin floral Cuttlebug emboss folder and machine
Cricut Sweethearts cartridge and machine
Core'dinations cardstock
Clearsnap  chalk ink (pink)
Ranger Perfect Pearls Mist (Heirloom gold)
FloraCraft Diamond Dust glass glitter
