Jenifer needed a couple quick and easy teacher gifts for the first day of school.  This came together quickly and she made several in a few minutes.  She threw in a couple new pencils and some treats and the kids were off. These would be find for the upcoming holidays as well as you could write any message you like on the chalkboard tags.

Baby Boy Layout with Alyssa McGrew

Today, Alyssa McGrew is here to share a layout that she recently created.  Alyssa says:

Since our family is expecting a new little boy in September, I've been trying to get back in the routine of baby layouts!  I've never been one for traditional baby themed products, so I used some papers from my stash to create this page, then added some felt doilies and tags from the Curtsey Boutique shop to soften the edges and add a warm feeling.

In search of a fun table decoration or cute Secret Santa gift? Jenifer used our plastic mason jars, daisy cut lids and red and white paper straws to create this fun embellished treat. It would be great filled with hot chocolate or Hershey Kisses.

Christmas is only a few short days away and here in Georgia temperatures are over 60 degrees - its unbelievable!  As we approach this most wonderful of holidays we are so grateful for our wonderful customers and the great support they have shown the Curtsey Boutique over the past year. Be safe as you get your last minute shopping done and enjoy this unseasonably warm weather.

I really like the beautiful array of neutral colors and embellishment Jenifer in this recent trip to Yosemite National Park. The shop is full of kraft colored items and Jenifer did a great job mixing and matching them.

Embellished Berry Basket with Jess Mutty

Embellished Berry Basket
Curtsey Boutique Designer
Jess Mutty

Today I have this sweet little basket that would be perfect for gift giving.  I love these fruit baskets and the ruffled fabric trim so I combined them with a pretty pastel shabby flower for a romantic, country feel.  The wood button and felt doily add another touch of texture.

I used a piece of chipboard sandwiched between two dyed doilies for a small decorative backing.  It looks pretty but it is also functional.  Sometimes I find that I need a little support for my basket goodies.

And of course you need a nice little bed of something to nestle the contents into.  I lined the basket with a white doily and then cut super thin strands of a glassine bag and scrunched them into the bottom of the basket.  Perfect for a candle, bath items, baked treats, or other small gift!
