Masculine Themed Burlap and Kraft Layout with Connie Mercer

Trying to be Cool Like Their Dad Layout
Curtsey Boutique Designer
Connie Mercer

I find scrapping my husband and male relatives to be a bit of a challenge so I am absolutely in love with Connie's neutral toned layout. Her use of vintage inspired imagery, burlap and office themed ephemera is perfect for highlighting the important men in her life.

Fairy Fun Halloween Layout with Lisa Spiegel

Fairy Fun Halloween Layout
Curtsey Boutique Designer
Lisa Spiegel

Lisa shares a spectacular Halloween layout today that is nto the least bit spooky. She hid the journaling about her daughter's fairy costume on the tag she tucked in the first spiderweb embossed envelope.

She really loved how these envelopes fit wallet sized photos perfectly as little photo mats and that they were super easy to tuck the journaling inside!

Also did you notice our new product sneak peek?

Aren't these fabric numbers fun - fabric on one side for texture and beautiful color, cardstock on the other for ease of use. Keep an eye out for them to be making an appearance in the shop soon.

Welcome to Connie Mercer and her Beautifully Embellished Fall Pumpkin

This week will be an exciting one as we begin sharing artwork from all of our new design team members!

We are getting the ball rolling with Connie's lovely embellished pumpkin. The combination of Curtsey Boutique fabric and felt flowers and our seam binding makes for a lovely piece of home decor perfect for celebrating the fall harvest or embracing a sweetly less scary Halloween theme.

Welcome our newest Designer Sarah Webb

Misted Muslin Bag
Curtsey Boutique Designer
Sarah Webb

Today we are welcoming another amazingly talented artist to our team, Sarah Webb.  Her first project is a lovely blend of color and technique, a misted muslin bag.

Sarah used a standard mist stencil to create the pattern on the little bag and combined pink, orange and yellow mists.

She than used Staz-On ink to stamp on the canvas butterfly and then layered on some pink paint.

Card and Envelope Set with Jess Mutty

Card and Envelope Set
Curtsey Boutique Designer
Jess Mutty

Today Jess has a card and envelope set with a twist.  Instead of a traditional envelope she used an embossed kraft bag.

"I think it adds something extra to a special gift and works really well for those cards you are not sending in the mail.

I used lots of The Curtsey Boutique embellishments to decorate the card and bag.  Accordion rosettes are fun but not too girly for this more masculine baby set.  I used Fancy Pants' Blissful Blizzard collection and the reds, blues, and browns coordinated perfectly with the sweet Picadilly Circus paper bow and the brown and kraft paper rosettes.  I sewed three book page hearts together to add dimension and tied off the chevron embossed tags with some crinkled seam binding.
