Kat shares adorable favor bags that were a cinch to pull together with Curtsey Boutique embellishments.

Kat shares "I was recently pressed for time before an event and was looking for a quick way to make some cute favor bags.  These butterflies already had such beautiful details that it was easy for me to just attach them to a doily with a sentiment tag and use them to top a brown paper bag...these quick favor bags only took minutes to make and look
pretty cute!

Keep Truckin' Card with Jess Mutty

Keep Truckin' Card
Curtsey Boutique Designer
Jess Mutty

How cute are these die cut cork cars?! Sometimes it is hard to find the right embellishments for the guys in our life but these cars are perfectly masculine.  My dad's birthday is coming up next month so I needed something fun for his happy birthday mail.

The paper is Swagger by Fancy Pants and the colors were great with a piece of wood grain embossed kraft bag that I cut for the background and the embossed coin envelope.  I added a velcro closure to the envelope flap to enclose a gift card to the home improvement store. It's just the right size!

The chalkboard tag adds a trendy but still manly touch and of course no project is complete without a little coordinating twine!

DIY Christmas Gift Bag Kits - Mini Lunch Bags

Curtsey Boutique Gift Bag Kits
My workshop is overflowing with boxes of new items for the shop. I am sorting, photographing and listing them as quickly as possible.

In preparation for the Christmas season I'm adding a ton of new things including these fun mini lunch bags pictured above and a few kits to make using them hassle free for the holidays.

These small bags come in kraft and white, embossed with polka dots or plain.  The middle bag is scalloped punched with holes already made for the baker's twine to thread through.  I've tried to think of cute, and quick packaging solutions for your candies, cookies and other small gift items.

The fabric flower on the left bag can be made in any of the shops 40 fabric colors.

These are 1 lb bags that measure at full size: 3.5 x 2 3/8 x 6 7/8.

You can of course purchase these mini lunch bags without any embellishment and they would make fun paper bag albums that a large shipping tag would fit in perfectly. Perhaps I'll have to make one soon.

I'll keep updating the blog as items are listed.

Have a lovely day,

CarrieAnne

Vintage Dictionary Pages + Doilies + Paper Bows = Simple and Quick Packaging

Curtsey Boutique Kraft Bags, Died Doilies & Paper Bows
I love making detailed projects with all the trimmings and layers, but I don't always have time to turn every crafty gift into a masterpiece. Sometimes, I need a cute, quick packaging idea that conveys "I appreciate you and your special" without spending hours to prove it.

These stacks of embossed kraft bags are wrapped with a strip of vintage dictionary paper, and topped with dyed doilies and paper bows. Simple, elegant and very affordable!

My local thrift shop normally has 20-30 year old dictionaries with thousands of pages for less than $5.00.  I always feel like I'm almost stealing when I walk out with one under my arm :)

Have a lovely day,

Wood Grain Kraft Bag Packaging Ideas

Curtsey Boutique Wood Grain Kraft Bags and Glassine Polka Dot Bags

I love pretty packaging, and half the fun of running my Etsy shop is embellishing the purchases my lovely shoppers make. These Medium Kraft Bags embossed with a wood grain pattern are now available in the shop and they look sweet with the Polka Dot embossed Glassine Bags.

This parcel is for a sweet bride who purchased some of my fancy blooms and had me turn them into hair clips for her. I think everything about a woman's wedding should be fancy - why not her packaging to?

I used hot glue to adhere the tops of each bag back and to adhere the Polka Dot Glassine Bag to the Wood Grain Kraft Bag.

The doily is one of my Raspberry Tea hand dyed doilies. The lace and flower embellished dress forms and grid labels will be available in the shop soon as well.

Here are the links if you'd like to do some shopping!
