Thanksgiving Project Life Journaling Cards and Digital Freebie

Design Team Call Information can be found HERE

To Grandmother's House
Journaling Card Freebie
Curtsey Boutique
The weather is very ugh here today.

Very rainy, chilly, gloomy and doomy. Eeyore would be right at home, but its not so good for taking photos of my weekend projects I was hoping to share.

With a cup of hot chocolate and my fuzziest socks, it is perfect weather for me to work on my digital Project Life pages.

We are heading out of town, over the hills and through the woods to grandmother's house on Friday.  For once (mark your calendars this is a first) I've done some Project Life cards BEFORE the event occurred that I know I am going to want to scrap.

These cards pull heavily from the Graphics Fairy. This website is AMAZING if you haven't already visited - you must. The images are all free and Karen does a wonderful job of finding unique and retro artwork. I'm completely smitten by all of her 50's pieces of happy homemakers.

I also used a number of copyrighted images from Jessica Sprague's many different brands including Carina Gardner, Echo Park and Pink Paislee. This means I can only offer the card above for your use, but perhaps those below will inspire you to create something fun of your own!

As always, you may use my digital freebies for CU, S4H or PU so long as you link back to the blog :)

Knowing that all I have to do is drag and drop my photos will make scrapping this holiday easy peasy.

I hope its Sunny where you are,

CarrieAnne

Project Life Journaling Cards with October Afternoon

I've been creating lots of Project Life Journaling Cards. They are a quick way to satisfy my creative cravings without having to sit down and create a whole layout. Little Man has finally decided to give the "sleeping" concept a try and I've felt guilty using that block of quiet time for crafty purposes. I'm so behind that what was supposed to be "Spring Cleaning" has now become my "Fall Frenzy".

I used October Afternoon products throughout. I love their patterns and versatility. I know that these cards will go with just about anything, especially the pictures I just took of the kids for their first day of school.

The cork bow is my favorite. I had no idea if it would die cut properly or hold up to the bending and it did both. Now I wondering where to get more cork cheaply and what else I can do with it!
Uncorked,

CarrieAnne

Scrapping Summer Vacation (from last year)

Curtsey Boutique Disney "Family Fun" Glassine Bag

The weather is warm, the sun is shining and I'm dusting off my suitcases in preparation of participating in that most noble of American traditions - the road trip. I'd love to smack (I mean shake the hand) of the man who thought this one up. I know it wasn't a woman. What woman said you know what makes family fun time amazing:

Pit stops in the middle of no where with gas stations that look like they came from an Alfred Hitchcock movie.

Campgrounds that have very loose definitions of the words "private showers"

and

Theme parks which cost more than the Gross National Product of Liberia.

I know I'm whining, but I'll probably have fun on my two day road trip to Indiana - right? 10 hours in the card with 4 kids, piece of cake.

I can hear the snickers already so stop it!

With this in mind, I've been crafting vacation themed embellishments and pages this week. I'd love to say I'm getting ahead for this Summer, but the truth is I'm shamefacedly still scrapping last Summer. I hope to share a couple of Project Life layouts with you next week from our trip to New England and to Disney.

This year we are heading to Indiana (in fact we are heading out next Friday) so I thought I better get those pictures in books before they become lost in the ever growing pile of photos on my scrap table.

Curtsey Boutique Disney Label Journaling Cards

For our Disney trip I put together a few following journaling cards and a cute glassine bag to hold our ticket stubs and other bits of memorabilia.

The labels are available in the shop here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/101184628/disney-journaling-labels-stickers-for

and the medium sized glassine bag embossed with polka dots can be found here:  https://www.etsy.com/listing/100827237/glassine-bags-embossed-polka-dot-set-of

Planning to hit the road soon,

CarrieAnne

Sprinklers Rain Liquid Sunshine Project Life Layout

I've always been an avid writer. Writing and editing articles for magazines opened my first "professional" doors in the papercrafting industry. I struggle sometimes between the art component and having enough space (and discipline) on layouts to capture the story in journaling.

Last week I made my first "Project Life" type layout with this page protector that divides into six 4x6 compartments. I already had the page protector and these remants of paper from another project. The layout was very easy to put together and I love that I had so much space for the story. I think you'll be seeing more of these types of layout from me in the future!

The layout captures our first "real summer" day a few years ago when our Nemo sprinkler was pulled out of Winter retirement.

I created the jouraling card with a vintage image of a girl in a 60's swimsuit in photoshop.

The card is here for your own use and enjoyment.

Thanks for stopping by,

CarrieAnne

Rainy Day Journaling Cards and a Vintage Freebie

Curtsey Boutique Rainy Day Journaling Cards

Here in Georgia the weather has been blissfully balmy over the last few days. I can't imagine we won't be getting a few Spring showers though and so I whipped up a few vintage inspired journaling cards for the puddle splashing opportunities to come. The images come from an early 1920s vintage catalog and show boys, girls and ladies rocking the waterproof fashions of their day.

They each measure 3 X 4 and these cards work with ATCs, Project Life or any scrapbooking project. My favorite is the bingo card with the rain boots in the free space - so fun!

They are available at the Curtsey Boutique in paper format or in digital format.

I've been working on some baby themed images and I thought I would share a bit of vintage digital love.   Isn't this the cutest little girl in an old bib below? Perfect for some many fun things!

Waiting for the puddles,

CarrieAnne
