Using Cork and Mini Clothes Pins to Make a Wedding Card with Andrea Amu

Today we have a lovely card to share, created by Design Team Member Andrea Amu.
Andrea used our mini clothes pins in a unique way on this card.  We love how she painted them and turned them into butterfly bodies.

Andrea also used Kraft Masking Tape, covering a sheet of cardstock with it, then embossing it.  We love her creative use for this staple item.

Shellye McDaniel shares the cutest and most novel use for our new berry baskets - frog gift packaging!

To put the frog box together Shellye I painted two of our wood berry containers green.

She attached them together at the back with hinges and extra-long brads. The small end of a Crop-A-Dile was used to create the holes.

Wood Berry Basket Smore Kit By Jess Mutty

I know the blog has been quiet for a bit and the shop was on vacation, but our doors are once more open and the blog up and going.

What better way to celebrate the dog days of summer than with Jess' sweet embellished berry basket?

****************************

I go to a lot of BBQs in the summer and sometimes I get tired of the same old hostess gifts.  Sure, we all love a bottle of wine but why not stand out with something a little more unique?

My S'mores Kit is adorable, inexpensive, and quick to assemble. And I bet the recipient will squeal with delight when she sees it!  All you need are some Curtsey Boutique supplies and your s'mores ingredients, of course.

The grahams are in a flat glassine envelope and tied with twine and a chalkboard label tag.  Then a classic Hershey's chocolate bar. The marshmallows go in the front, in a gusseted glassine bag, folded over and stapled, and topped with a glitter star, accordion circle, and a wood button.  Everything nestles nicely into a sweet wood berry basket with a seam binding bow.

DIY Journal by Alyssa McGrew

Stories of our Journey Journal
Curtsey Boutique Designer
Alyssa McGrew
I made a pre-created book for our upcoming move overseas, in the hopes that it will help me collect all the assorted travel related items I want to keep and put them in a book in less then 6 months.

Think it will work?  Well, whether it does add or not, when I finally get around to documenting the story, it will be very cute!

I used a variety of tapes, envelopes and tags from the shop to add pockets and journaling areas to this book.  I'll be back to share photos when it is done!
