Brown Paper Packages Tied up with String with Lisa Spiegel

Brown Paper Packages Tied up with String
Curtsey Boutique Designer
Lisa Spiegel
Did you catch the Sound of Music remake with Carrie Underwood? I love this musical and and what could be a better tribute than Lisa's tutorial sharing how to make a brown paper package tied up with string using just a few of her favorite things from the shop?

1) Using Dauber Paint, stamp bag with dots

2) Staple various ribbon lengths together and then to doily
3) Stamp desired message and add to snowflake rosette using a pop dot.

4) Using double sided tape, add snowflake rosette to doily and ribbon
5) Fold top of bag and tie shut with twine.

6) Using double sided tape, add doily to package.

Santa Mason Treat Jar with Daisy Cut Lid by Jenifer Cowles

Santa Mason Jar Treat Bottles with Daisy Cut Lids
Curtsey Boutique Designer
Jenifer Cowles

Have you seen our new plastic mason jars with matching daisy cut lids?  I love that they won't break in little hands and that our paper straws fit perfectly inside the holes of the lid - so easy and cute.

Jenifer has designed a clever Santa treat jar that would be a cute addition to any teacher gift basket, basket of cookies for a neighbor or even a fun gift for a coworker when filled with cocoa mix and marshmallows.

I find scrapping my husband and male relatives to be a bit of a challenge so I am absolutely in love with Connie's neutral toned layout. Her use of vintage inspired imagery, burlap and office themed ephemera is perfect for highlighting the important men in her life.

Wood Berry Basket Smore Kit By Jess Mutty

I know the blog has been quiet for a bit and the shop was on vacation, but our doors are once more open and the blog up and going.

What better way to celebrate the dog days of summer than with Jess' sweet embellished berry basket?

****************************

I go to a lot of BBQs in the summer and sometimes I get tired of the same old hostess gifts.  Sure, we all love a bottle of wine but why not stand out with something a little more unique?

My S'mores Kit is adorable, inexpensive, and quick to assemble. And I bet the recipient will squeal with delight when she sees it!  All you need are some Curtsey Boutique supplies and your s'mores ingredients, of course.

The grahams are in a flat glassine envelope and tied with twine and a chalkboard label tag.  Then a classic Hershey's chocolate bar. The marshmallows go in the front, in a gusseted glassine bag, folded over and stapled, and topped with a glitter star, accordion circle, and a wood button.  Everything nestles nicely into a sweet wood berry basket with a seam binding bow.
