3 Smiles Layout with Kat Benjamin

3 Smiles Layout
Curtsey Boutique Designer
Kat Benjamin
It is a dreary day here in Georgia - rain, rain and more cold chilly rain. It was the perfect day than to post Kat's bright and warm layout. I love her use of color swatches in the background and how she integrates these bright flashes of color with warm basics, including our burlap butterflies, clothespins and felt butterflies.

Embellished Burlap Bucket with Raechelle Bellus

That’s it! The end result is so much better than a plain burlap bucket, don’t you agree?

Burlap Pinwheel Gift Bag with Jenifer Cowles

Jenifer shares a whimsically embellished gift bag. I love how she topped with a burlap pinwheel and several layers of our rosettes.

She reports, "These were so much fun to make, take some burlap and create a pinwheel, use stacking rosettes for the center and a straw for the stick.  All tied up with some fabric and ribbons and you have the perfect party topper for your goodie bags."

Altered Rock Star Frame with Kristin Greenwood

Altered Rock Star Frame
Curtesy Boutique Designer
Kristin Greenwood
I find scrapping my son so much more challenging than scrapping my three girls, so I love it when I see great ideas for boy layouts. This altered frame and layout by Kristin is a perfect mixture of edge and embellishment.

The close up below shows the fantastic way in that she embellished our chalkboard hearts. She gave them a hard masculine edge by embossing them then rubbing them with gold and silver ink. I also love how she distressed the edges of the fabric rosettes - the perfect way to play down their ruffled lightness.

Celebrating Everyday Moments Layout with Alyssa McGrew

Thursday Layout
Curtsey Boutique Designer
Alyssa McGrew

This layout was inspired by a simple, everyday photo of the building next to Alyssa's.  There was a storm coming in, and the lighting was amazing.  Not every layout has to be a momentous event to make it into her albums!

Hot Beverage Bar with Strawberry Baskets by Connie Mercer

Winter Hot Beverage Bar with Strawberry Baskets
Curtsey Boutique Desginer
Connie Mercer
Cold weather is upon us here in Georgia and Connie's idea for a hot drink bar using our strawberry baskets is brilliant. She added our baskets to an enamel tray and then organized her biscotti, sugar and creamer on a sweet enamel tray.

We aren't coffee drinkers in our home, but I think I might do the same with hot chocolate packets, extra marshmallows, and candy cane stir sticks.

She topped her lovely collection off with a chalkboard tag embellished with our burlap butterflies, rolled felt roses, and heart stick pins.
