Freebie Friday - Spring Cleaning - Vintage Woman Ironing

Freebie Friday
Vintage Image
Woman Ironing
This week I've made a list a mile long of Spring Cleaning Chores. I've the garden to plant, Winter clothing to put up, and Spring garments to wash and hang, the exterior of the house needs a good power washing and the entire of the house a bit of tidying. But instead of doing all that I snatched this image from a 1916 McCalls Magazine to share with you.

As always the image is free for you to use for PU, CU, S4H so long as you link back to the blog.

Have a lovely weekend,

CarrieAnne

Freebie Friday - Girl with Parasol - Vintage Digital Stamp

Freebie Friday

Vintage Girl with Parasol Free Digital Stamp

I'm still devouring the pages from last week's 1923 Garden magazine so I thought I would share another digital image from it.  I love the sweet little girl with the parasol as she walks through her garden gate with her mother or maybe her governess?

This image was less than an inch tall when I got started with it so I apologize for any graininess, it just seemed too sweet to pass on sharing.

For those who want the image without the shrubbery you'll find it below.

As always feel free to use for PU, S4H, or CU so long as you link back to the blog.

Have a great weekend,

Freebie Friday

Here in Atlanta we've had several days of icky weather, but this morning Spring is finally poking her head out. Warmer weather and clear skies are not the only indicators of Spring. My tulips are coming up!  This vintage image of tulips is from a 1923 Garden Magazine.

As always feel free to use it for S4H, CU, or PU so long as you link back to the blog.

Have a wonderful weekend,

Freebie Friday - Vintage Digital Images - Young Girls

Digital Freebie
1909 Success Magazine
Curtsey Boutique

Perhaps your children never argue or fight ... but mine, as much I love them, have been at each other's throats a bit lately. I ran across this image in a 1909 "Success Magazine" and couldn't resist the sweet loving nature the girl's are showing to each other. Though I know its an advertisement for Best & Co., designed to tug on my heart strings - it still made me sigh for a bit of sibling unity.

A mother can dream right ?

I've provided the image with its original frame above and cleaned up background below.

As always feel free to use this image for PU, CU or S4H, so long as you link back to the blog.

Have a lovely weekend,

Boy Scout Digital Freebie

I think we've slain the computer problem beast, but its found an ally in horrible weather. No chance to photo my current projects and share them with you.  But I can share with you some more digital images!

Vintage Boy Scout Manual Cover
I recently found this very well loved copy of a Boy Scout Manual from 1921. I bought it for my older brother as a "thinking of you" gift. He is an Eagle Scout, amazing single father and one of the best people I know. He was and is an ideal big brother and thought he would enjoy having this in his collection.

Did you know the old boy scout manuals were chock full of ads and illustrations? I had no idea. Here is a fun one for "official scout uniforms". I'm going to scan a bunch of the images before mailing the manual off to him and share them here on the blog. Does that make this just as much my gift gift as well as his?

I've provided the original rich toned sepia and a version in black and white and army green. What a fun digital stamp the vignette of the boy cooking would be.  As always feel free to use for S4H, CU, PU so long as you link back to the blog.

I have so much vintage ephemera, catalogs and fashion magazines and have gotten more and more involved in digital design this year. Are there images that you would like to see more of? Sewing and fashion items seem to draw the most views, but I am open to requests as well :)

Do a good turn daily,
