Polka Dot Burlap Bag with Jenifer Cowles

Polka Dot Burlap Bag
Curtsey Boutique Designer
Jenifer Cowles

Jenifer shares a clever way to embellish our burlap bags with us today. She stenciled them with polka dots!  So clever.

To ensure her closure matched her flower and trim she removed the standard twine and replace it with our white seam binding.

Mr. and Mrs. Wedding Card by Andrea Amu

Mr. and Mrs. Wedding Card
Curtsey Boutique Designer
Andrea Amu
I wanted to create this wedding card to have a vintage and homespun look all in one, emulating the style of my friend's wedding décor and theme.

I chose the vintage floral for the embossing and paired it perfectly with vintage touches of a pink floral fabric strip and a swatch of burlap from Curtsey Boutique.  The burlap was actually a section cut from one of the burlap bags.  I also cut strips of the burlap from the bag to use on a separate project!

Other supplies:
Anna Griffin floral Cuttlebug emboss folder and machine
Cricut Sweethearts cartridge and machine
Core'dinations cardstock
Clearsnap  chalk ink (pink)
Ranger Perfect Pearls Mist (Heirloom gold)
FloraCraft Diamond Dust glass glitter

Picking Apples

It cooled down here a bit in Georgia this week, the first whisperings of Fall. This caused my husband to ask when the apples would be ready for picking.  I'm sure they are ready now and what could be sweeter than this 1910 image from The Baldwin Primer?

As always feel free to use for PU, S4H, or CU so long as you link back to the blog.

Have a great weekend,

CarrieAnne

DIY Idea Book Tutorial with Jenifer Cowles

Project Idea Book
Curtsey Boutique Designer
Jenifer Cowles
1. On top of the 5” doily place 6 hexagon shapes down in the shape of a flower, leaving the center open.

2. In the center adhere the beautiful flower.

3.  If desired cut down the chalkboard tag to the desired size and label the book.

4. Around all of the hexagon edges and the edge of the book take a fine point pen and create stitching lines.

5. Take 10 sheets of plain copy paper and fold them in half and sew them to the cover down the center.

Now you have a fun little book to jot down notes, sketches and ideas that will fit in your purse or just sit on your desk.

Journey Mini Album with Alyssa McGrew

Journey Mini Album
Curtsey Boutique Designer
Alyssa McGrew

Remember the album I created for her family's move to Bulgaria?  I finished it!

That's probably some kind of record, since it usually take me much longer to complete an album.

I love the way that the tags and envelopes from the shop fit into my album.  They added lots of layers, texture and places for journaling.

Berry Sweet Strawberry Tags Basket by Andrea Amu

Berry Sweet Strawberry Tags Basket
Curtsey Boutique Designer
Andrea Amu

Andrea shares this adorable gift set with us today using our pulp berry baskets, chevron tags, felt doilies and baker's twine.  I love the glitter embellishment over her sentiment and strawberry.

Andrea inked the white chevron shipping tags with coordinating red ink. Don't you love how the embossing just pops off the tag?  This would be the perfect way to create tags in custom colors to match your projects.

Other supplies:
