What's Going to Work? Teamwork!

With the baby due very soon, I have found myself a bit nostalgic of late and have been going through pictures of my 3 girls when they were much younger. I came across a pile of snapshots of my husband and daughter putting together her first bike when we lived in the Netherlands and decided to whip up a quick layout.

The paper and embellishments are both BoBunny I believe. They came from the scrap bin so I hard a hard time remembering who to attribute them to.

Nesting, nesting, nesting.

In a little less than a month we will be adding a brand new addition to our family. After three girls we are happy to be welcoming a little boy! We are referring to him presently as "the boy" as we have yet to agree on a name. I think my husband and I are hoping he will be born with a little light bulb over his head announcing his name, or at the very least his appearance will motivate us to agree on a name or inspire us to choose a new one. In any case, last week I failed to post to the blog because we are knee deep in a nursery redecoration - it turns out that pink and green roses just aren't considered "masculine" these days. I hope to share some pictures of the finished projects with you soon.

Here is the baby announcement I plan on sending out. I like to prepare them ahead of time so all I have to do is slide in the picture and birth information (which will hopefully include a NAME!) in the crazy days following a new baby's arrival.

This card was shamelessly cased from this too cute card I saw on SplitCoastStampers. Thank you Melissa for a stunning idea!

Tomorrow I hope to post pictures of the thank you cards I made for my wonderful friends and family for the sweet gifts they provided at my baby shower.

Happy Crafting!

My first online challenge with Sketchy Thursdays

So here is some of that artwork I promised - even if it is a few days late. This is the first online challenge I have ever participated in just for fun (with no professional obligations attached).

Sketchy Thursdays is a great sketch challenge site where every Thursday a new challenge is posted.

Here is my take on the sketch. The paper is Kaiser Kraft, with a few Pink Paislee and Prima embellishments thrown in for good measure. Simple and quickly put together, but my first project posted on my new blog so I am excited by the result!

This picture is of my two eldest daughters on a day trip to Stone Mountain. One of my favorite things about being their mom is watching the bond between them grow. They are inevitably holding hands and at least for now they think it is pretty cool to do things together.

Mid-Year Resolutions

Though I have worked on blogs, websites and other internet based social media marketing projects for others, I have been woefully lax in creating one for myself. So with the year half gone and the blazing Georgia heat keeping me indoors I am trying out 3 mid-year's resolutions:

1. To launch my own blog (Mission Accomplished - time to hit the chocolate stash for self-congratulations);

2. To maintain and keep my blog current with whatever projects I am working on;

3. To participate in lots of online challenges, blog hops, and social networking opportunities with other fabulous paper crafters.

I must admit in launching the Serendipitous Scrapper, I received a great bit of inspiration, graphics and advice from two outstanding bloganistas at, Shabby Blogs and Cute n' Cool Blog Accessories. I strongly encourage you to visit either of these sites for fabulous freebies to give your blog an amazingly chic new look.

I have a few more things to tweak before I get to posting artwork, but I hope to do so in the next few days.
